A Day in Cambridge by Chauffeur
Cambridge rewards a slow day on foot, and it punishes anyone who tries to drive into the middle of it. The historic centre is compact, much of it is closed to general traffic, and parking is scarce. That is exactly why a chauffeured day works well: you are set down close to where you want to be, you walk, and the car is waiting when you are ready for the next part of the day.
Half day or full day?
A half day suits a single destination such as Cambridge, and it is the booking we most often suggest for a first visit. A full day, typically eight to ten hours including stops, gives room to add lunch outside the city or a second stop such as Ely or the villages to the south.
How the drop-off works
Because vehicle access to the core is restricted, the chauffeur sets you down at the nearest practical point to your first stop and agrees a collection point and time with you before you walk off. If plans change, a phone call is all it takes to move the pick-up.
