How do wedding car timings usually work on the day?
We agree a schedule with you in advance and build in buffer time at every stage. Typically the car arrives at the bridal address 30 to 45 minutes before departure, allows time for photographs on the driveway, then travels to the ceremony with a route we have already driven. After the ceremony we wait for group photographs before the journey to the reception.
Can the car be dressed to match our colour scheme?
Yes. Silk ribbons, bows and fresh floral arrangements are prepared to your chosen colours and fitted before the car leaves us. Tell us the shade and we will match it. Ribbon is removed on request for a cleaner look in photographs.
Do we get time for photographs with the car?
Yes, and the chauffeur is used to working alongside photographers. He will position the car for the light, open the door for shots and step out of frame. Our drivers are photography trained, so if your photographer asks for a particular angle the car can be moved without fuss.
Does the booking cover two trips, to the ceremony and to the reception?
It does. A standard wedding booking covers the bridal journey to the ceremony, waiting during the service, and the onward journey to the reception. Additional legs, such as returning parents or a second collection, can be added.
Do we need a second wedding car?
Most couples book one car for the bride and one for bridesmaids or parents. If your party is larger, the 7 seater Mercedes V-Class often replaces two saloons and keeps everyone together. We will tell you honestly if one car will do the job.
What happens if the ceremony overruns?
Nothing changes for you. Wedding bookings are built with waiting time included, and the chauffeur stays with the car. We would rather hold for you than rush the day.
Which car do most couples choose?
The pearl white Rolls-Royce Phantom with its starlight headliner is the most requested, carrying four passengers with room for a full dress. The Mercedes S500 LWB is the popular alternative, and the V-Class carries seven for the wider party.
How far ahead should we book?
Nine to twelve months for a Saturday in summer, and sooner if you have a fixed heart on one vehicle. Weekday and winter dates are usually available at shorter notice, and we hold your date once the booking is confirmed.
